Carolina Ericson, CEO of TicTac, nominated as Growth Entrepreneur of the Year

12 December, 2018 in Uncategorized

On 11 February 2019 the top business leaders in Malmö will be celebrated at a gala at Malmö Live concert hall. The CEO of EdTech company TicTac Interactive, Carolina Ericson, has been nominated as Growth Entrepreneur of the Year after a fantastic run of growth that led to a 30 per cent rise in turnover in 2018 alone.

TicTac is growing rapidly and is now the leading EdTech company in Scandinavia. In 2018, TicTac doubled its sales to business, while total turnover grew by 30 per cent over the previous year. This means that TicTac is growing at more than twice the rate of the industry as a whole.

“2018 is a record year for TicTac and I am very proud to be nominated in the category of Growth Entrepreneur of the Year at the Malmö Business Gala. I want to say thank you to our customers, partners and our talented staff who have all contributed to TicTac’s fantastic growth journey. EdTech is one of the fastest growing industries globally, and we are leading that growth and aim to achieve turnover of just under SEK 40 million this year. Our operating profit will be just over SEK 5 million. This represents growth of 30 percent over last year, when our turnover was almost SEK 30 million,” says Carolina Ericson, CEO of TicTac.

TicTac expects to see a 20 percent growth in turnover in the next few years. One milestone in the company’s growth journey is the recent partnership with the leading international AI platform, Docebo, which has boosted TicTac’s growth in Scandinavia and helped gain ground in Europe. With Docebo in its portfolio, TicTac is able to meet demands in areas such as social learning, blended learning and offline solutions, in the oil industry for example.

“Our recent partnership with Docebo is strategically important as it means we can offer customers more sophisticated solutions. This, combined with our long experience, gives TicTac and its customers the opportunity to create new avenues and solutions for applying digital learning,” says Carolina Ericson.

The winners in the various categories will be announced at the Malmö Business Gala on 11 February 2019 at the Malmö Live concert hall. You can read about the reasons for the jury’s choices and the other finalists in the various categories at:
