User Generated Content is a growing trend that we have already seen large organisations make use of. In short, it means that instead of seeing users as passively consuming learners, we give them access to tools that allow them to create the course content they need. In the physical world it can be difficult to gather all your employees together to ask them what content they would like to see in a course on sustainability, for example. But in the digital world you can not only ask them, but also let them create this content themselves.
This inevitable shift towards an open working and learning environment is largely the result of advances in technology that make collaboration easier. One example is our learning platform, Docebo, which already has features for the social sharing of learning, and will soon have its own built-in tool for creating content.
