eLearning Africa is the largest conference and exhibition of e-learning in Africa, attracting over one thousand delegates and visitors from seventy-seven countries. This year’s event is being held in Mauritius, and TicTac Interactive is taking part in order to network, track trends and find new partners for its digital GO! platform.
“It’s really inspiring to be at eLearning Africa. There are a lot of exciting things happening in Africa right now, at a time when these countries are facing big challenges, particularly in the education sector. TicTac is taking part to find out how we can contribute to continued positive development in Africa,” says Carolina Palmqvist, CEO of TicTac.
Many African countries are experiencing strong economic growth, and big investments are being made in education and infrastructure, especially IT and telecoms. The sharp rise in sales of mobile phones in recent years means that the mobile has become the primary tool for digital learning.
“Mobile learning is growing fast in Africa and many countries and industries have skipped desktop learning and are instead totally committed to education based on mobile phones – an area where TicTac is seeing rapid growth,” says Carolina Palmqvist.
eLearning Africa takes place on 27–29 September. More information about the event can be found at www.elearning-africa.com.
